This past year has been quite challenging, right? It has for me + I’ve also been recovering from a thyroid surgery + I finally had energy to plan my rainbow baby’s 1st birthday. Thyroid disease can be quite serious. I have made a lot of progress with my health + these bright + cheery colors + patterns + blooms really brought my family cheer. Plus, the opportunity to be creative brought me peace like I haven’t experienced in quite a while.
I hope the next party you plan is a floral rainbow party. You’ll love it.
A Floral Rainbow Party is Perfect for:
A 1st Birthday

An Easter Party: Add Easter Eggs + Fuzzy Chicks
Two shops you will absolutely want to use for your next party are: The Stylish Detail and Ellie + Piper. They are both women-owned, small shops. More Party Styling Ideas:
Use individual floral stems from clearance flowers at your grocery store.
Offer Rainbow Carrots as a healthy treat.
Create rainbow pasta by adding natural food coloring to cooked noodles: Strain your noodles, scoop some noodles into a small bowl, add food coloring + stir. Add to a large bowl. Continue mixing noodles with various colors until you have used the colors of the rainbow.
Cover the table with wrapping paper.
Use velvet chairs for a touch of elegance.
Cut fruit into fun shapes with mini cookie cutters.
Enjoy a piñata, even if it is just for your kids! Use a wooden spoon to hit it. Fill with: candy, fruit snacks, granola bars, Rice Krispies, trail mix, small toys, clues to a scavenger hunt, crayons, finger puppets (DIY with felt), mini bubbles, hair ties + clips, slime, homemade scented play-dough, mini animals, toy cars, Legos, glow sticks, mechanical pencils!
The 1st birthday really is more for the mom than the baby. Right? Honestly, moms deserve to create a day they love because the first year is so cherished + it just goes so fast. A first birthday party with details you love really creates memories you will love.
